TWIKE
The TWIKE is quite unlike anything else you will see on the roads. Not only is it radical looking, but it is the most efficient motorised vehicle on the market.
The lightweight three-wheeled convertible made in Germany is steered via an aircraft-style joystick and has pedals for driver and passenger as an optional extra; the power from the human input helps increase the range.
With an average economy of 12.5 miles per kWh at prices of 3p to 15p per kWh (depending on supplier and contract), it is arguably the cheapest-to-run form of motorized transport available.
Verdict: Not recommended for shrinking violets, but the most efficient electric vehicle on the market
